The River Plate Athletic Club is one of the largest and most important in the city and one of the clubs that has the largest number of followers.

Founded in 1901, it is the most successful club in local tournaments, 33 titles, and it has also won 5 international titles. Its main rival is Boca Juniors with whom it fights the “Superclasico” the most massive and significant social event in Buenos Aires. Other classics are the games against San Lorenzo, Independiente and Racing.

In 1938 the current River Stadium was inaugurated, located in Palermo on Figueroa Alcorta Avenue 7597. This is known as “El Monumental”.

River Plate is not only a club, but it also offers an educational area in which its first level school stands out. Moreover, football is its main sport, but it also offers other sports which are also involved in national competitions. Hockey, Roller hockey, Basketball, Futsal, Handball, among others.

Finally, the Club coordinates guided tours from 2pm to 4.30pm, from Tuesday to Friday. An unforgettable tour through one of the biggest stadiums in Latin America.
