The first reaction was to search for documentation and then he informed the authorities of the supermarket. The woman, owner of the handbag with money, returned to the grocery store two hours later, when Dàvalos saw her he reassured the woman by telling her that he had found what she had lost. The woman gave him $100 in reward, which, at first the police officer refused to accept, arguing that the only thing he did is his work and fulfill his duty as a policeman. This honorable act by Mr. Francisco Solano Dávalos, was unknown until the supermarket manager, Ricardo Oviedo, informed the chief of infantry, Néstor Picolo, about what had happened. Dávalos received a recognition by the Secretary of Security from Salta.
