It is an upscale area, one of the most luxurious and expensive in Buenos Aires and it has around 20 blocks. Its name is because until the early twentieth century there was a country house called “Las Cañitas” and beside it there was a path known as “Las Cañitas Path” which eventually became an avenue and changed its name to Luis Maria Campos Avenue. Many refer to this area as a district but the in fact it is an area within the district of Palermo. What makes it so important, as to be considered an unofficial neighborhood, is its tremendous growth and expansion in the recent years. Gaining recognition and prestige and being noted for its high quality, modern and luxurious towers and buildings. Las Cañitas during the day is a very quiet area, ideal for walks under the trees and to enjoy a coffee. At night, it turns into one of the busiest places in town, offering a wide variety of bars, pubs, nightclubs and restaurants. Eating in Argentina - PizzaPost August 14, 2009 - Classified Eating in Buenos Aires, Rochester If you still do not know I will tell you that Argentina-and especially my beloved Buenos Aires- was created with the different waves of immigrants, and that the two largest were from Spain and Italy. Today I want to talk about something typically Italian, but in my own city it was taken as a habit, to spend a good time when you walk down the streets of Buenos Aires and to keep the belly full and your heart happy: the pizza. I invite you to know the best pizzerias in Buenos Aires, which you will not miss if you visit “me”. I do not know how it may be originally, but here there are of all kinds: crispy, “a la piedra” and half mass. I, however, prefer the traditional one, which is made in the baking tin, and my favorite pizzeria is “The Pizza Palace”, located just a few meters from the Rochester Hotels Buenos Aires, on Corrientes and Esmeralda. I try to stop by at least once a week and eat some portion ”standing” as it was before. But there are many more to recommend. A couple of years ago, the City Government made a list that suggests some pizzerias as a Buenos Aires cultural heritage, as they represent the character of the citizens and their culinary culture. The list includes the traditional “Las Cuartetas”, “Guerrin” and “Los Inmortales”, including the outstanding ”La Continental” and “La Americana” and others popular in specific neighborhoods as “Burgio” at Cabildo 2400, “Angelin”, at Cordoba 5200 (Villa Crespo), “El Cuartito” (Talcahuano 937), and “Banchero” (Corrientes Avenue and Talcahuano and with a branch in the neighborhood of La Boca), a place that claims to be the inventor of the cheese fugazza or “Pirilo” ( Defense to 800), where you eat pizza “stand up” since 1932. The official list also includes some more modern places such as “Filo” (San Martin 900), “Rosario” and “El Cedrón” at Juan B. Alberdi 6100 (Mataderos). The Pizza is an institution to which songs, photos, and many moments in the Buenos Aires life have been dedicated to. Moscato, pizza and faina, shall you join me with some portions?

It is located at the Belgrano neighborhood, just a few meters from Barrancas de Belgrano and it is where most of the Chinese and Korean immigrants in the country have settled. In this neighborhood you will be able to know the Eastern history and culture, learn their legends, myths and beliefs.
