The Botanical Garden is one of the major attractions in Buenos Aires, visited by thousands of tourists each year. The prestigious landscaper Carlos Thays was in charge of the creation of this magnificent and beautiful Botanical Garden, which has over 5.500 plant species and numerous works of arts, including sculptures, busts and monuments.

The Garden also has a large Botanical Museum, five greenhouses, a great Botanical Library that offers books and publications of all over the world and, within it, lies the Gardening School, which depends on the Agronomy School from the prestigious Buenos Aires University.
