On September 7th, 1810 the prestigious National Library of Argentina was created, with the aim to give everyone the opportunity to be part of the history and political, economic, social and cultural life of the country and the world through books.

The Argentinian Library, is among the best libraries in the world and offers the highest literary experiences, owner of the largest cultural heritage of the country. It is the living testimony of the country’s history and especially political life, it is the memory of the Nation.

Its magnificent, complex and unique architecture is the subject of studies and debates in the architecture field. Architecture students choose it to do their projects and work as they study and questioned its extraordinary design.

Located in Agüero 2502, the National Library conducts tours at 15hs, from Monday to Friday and on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays tours are conducted at the same time but in English. In addition, it organizes many activities and workshops.
