The tour round QUISSAMÂ city, is a tour take takes as back to the past, getting to know the culinary culture of the slaves which is what stands out in Brasil since the beginnings of time. It is a city that has a great Sugar heritage.
In the times of the colonization a black guy met with a group of indians and consequently a new culture emerged. The black guy was from Quissamâ, in Africa, therefore the name of the city. QUISSAMÂ, means "fruit of the earth that is bewteen the river and the sea", and it comes from that history, rich in culture, architecture and culinary from a time that we look froward to tell to our passengers. They will be ble to know the genius techniques of the sugar cane up to the famous brazilian cayasa.
You will see the old colonial houses, and the places destinated for slaves. Moreover, you will enjoy an exquisite lunch from that time made with firewood. Later there is a Jambo perfomance, the slaves dance.
Once you finish lunch, you will be able to go on a trip in launch through the cannal built by the slaves to trade sugar canes. It took 18 years to built the cannal, which ends at the Jurubativa lagoon.
When the tour is over, you will be able to enjoy a great afternoon meal with the waitresses dressed as in the old times.
