Restinga de Tucuns

Restinga de Tucuns: along Trilha das Pitangueiras we find many of these trees of “restinga”, vegetation from the coast of Rio de Janeiro. It is part of the Park or Reserve  "EPA do Pau Brasil" (Environmental Preservation Area) it covers 9.940 hectares, including the continental, insular and maritime areas. The Lakes Region, Rio de Janeiro, in the land between Tucuns beach in Buzios and the Itajutu Canal in Cabo Frio, is target of constant intervention due to the property growth, tourism, urbanization and implementation of illegal trade.
